The Davey BT Series pressure boosting systems combine robust, compact, stainless steel centrifugal pumps with Davey's exclusive Torrium2 intelligent controller to supply strong, even pressure boosted water to domestic households and commercial/industrial applications. These systems are ideal for pumping clean, clear water, including inadequate pressure from municipal water supplies, water from underground or surface water supplies (BT14-45 and BT20-40 only), automatic water transfer, and applications with interrupted water supplies, as well as domestic and light industrial irrigation.

The pumps feature reliable single-stage or multi-stage impeller designs, with all-stainless steel wet-end construction for reliability. They can pump hot water up to 158°F, and have a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal for reliable operation. The motors have a higher than normal 120°F ambient temperature rating, as well as protection against high operating temperature and high current draw.

The robust TEFC motors are constructed from corrosion-resistant materials and have an IP55 international protection rating for dust and dirt. They also feature a permanently split capacitor for reliable starting, and are designed for frequent starts.

The Torrium 2 controller provides superior hydraulic performance with a larger water pathway. It features adaptive starting to monitor incoming pressure, quick cut-in for constant flow and even water pressure, and extra draw-off capacity with a built-in accumulator. The controller also has easy status check LEDs, dry-run protection with auto-restart, and protection against high water temperature, excessive electrical current, and power surges.

The Davey BT Series pressure boosting systems are available in five different models, with varying performance curves to suit most applications. The hydraulic performance, or the amount of pressure boost the pump will add to the incoming pressure at a specific flow rate, can be selected based on the existing incoming pressure and the desired combined system pressure (usually less than 80 psi to meet local building codes).

It is important to note that the maximum system pressure should not exceed 100 psi (incoming pressure plus pump boost). The pumps also feature stainless steel impellers and pump casings, power surge protection, and dry-run protection, as well as a flexible stainless steel FIP discharge hose.
